Marianne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia, Kentucky, and Rhode Island, with Washington DC and Maryland in process. She has over three decades of combined experience within the therapy, counseling and coaching field assisting individuals, couples and families to capitalize on their strengths to effectively navigate their life. She helps people understand key concepts and make the choice to implement them consistently with belief to make progress and transform.
Marianne is a survivor of many things and offers a real-life and transparent approach. She uses humor and challenges as appropriate. She can be a guide, accountability partner, and cheerleader. Transformation is her passion and each story matters to her. She wants to know how people show up in their life and how their history and experiences came together to bring them here. She does not go ‘around the same bushes’ as she believes there is work to do.
Marianne’s biggest strength is creating a non-judgmental and safe space for clients to just "be", partnering in the journey. She believes that creating space and asking the right questions will provide the opportunity to grace oneself the permission to personally develop toward wellness, healing, and transformation. Her approach is that people are experts on themselves and that nothing will change until people first make a choice and take a step in doing something different. Where it will lead is on a journey of discovery and development that will be challenging and rewarding.
Sessions are foundationally Person-Centered; however, other treatment methods are utilized based on each client’s specific needs. Other modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Strengths Based Therapy, Systems Focused, Emotionally Focused, Reality Therapy and Mindfulness. Marianne works with many populations including Military, First Responders, Clergy, Doctors, Nurses, Therapists, Lawyers.
