About
Caitlin provides therapy services for MFTS. She approaches her therapy clients with a creative and collaborative spirit, and she believes it is a privilege to sit with people and hold their stories. Her therapeutic style is grounded in genuineness, compassion, and openness, and she strives to be attuned to each person and their unique needs.
Caitlin received a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania, where she became focused on Psychodynamic and Relational approaches. While studying, she chose to specialize in working with couples and relationships, and since then, she has completed training as an Imago Relationship Therapist with many hours of advanced supervision.
Along with her learned knowledge, Caitlin has professional and lived experience with a wide range of concerns, including stress and anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, career transitions, loss of/re-creation of identity, and relationship issues including co-dependence, marriage, divorce, and more.
Caitlin came to the field of psychotherapy from the performing arts world, where she was a professional musician, teacher, and finally an artistic director. In her therapeutic work, she draws from her experiences living abroad, working in high-pressure and high-rejection environments, and developing curiosity and flexibility in the face of uncertainty.
Originally from Wisconsin, Caitlin currently lives in Washington, DC with her partner and two cats. She is an ice cream enthusiast, avid crossword puzzler, and frequent zoo-goer.
Caitlin is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Washington DC and Maryland. She is under the supervision of Katie Dawson, Licensed Professional Counselor.
